If people can't be assed to help update articles or write a paragraph, how do you think they will be assed to WRITE IT ANYWAY, and then on top of that create a video--video tape it, probably several times due to stuttering or pronunciation errors--and include in the video whatever is too inconvenient to speak (for instance: code, links). Videos are also much more difficult to update, and their existence is subject to the whim of whatever host we use. Plus, hosting the videos externally means that they will have more exposure to people outside of /i/, thus having the opposite intended effect, not to mention that there are already numerous videos on being a skiddy that are available on youtube or wherever.

Also, the wiki hasn't been down in several months.

the partyvan page for Operation: Rising Sun is still very much disorganized. It just states what we want to do instead of states how we should go about doing it. Also I think somewhere in our partyvan page we need to make a clause with greater emphasis on bringing more members to our Axis of Evil (RSC/711chan/legi0n) that maintains an active /i/ board while still filtering out the cancer. THAT I think will be our most difficult action, trying to advertise ourselves while at the same time not advertising ourselves. Sort of like a non-gay version of Dan Brown's take on the Path of Illumination.

Actually, r3x had been hosting partyvan.info, but due to some drama by mooncup and relentless, r3x kicked relentless off the box. Then there was some drama between januszeal and r3x, which led to partyvan.info no longer being pointed at r3x's wiki.

R3x then registered insurgen.cc (later insurgen.info), while partyvan.info got pointed to a new wiki (using an old backup I think) that was run by a totally different staff of people (part of this was also the chatnets-partyvan irc split).

I actually made myself scarce for the last year or so, so I can't really testify as to what all happened specifically.

It played back up to 711chan until the "/i/ boards sidebar" thing came in, in which 888 was omitted in favour of januszeal's netchan. Then there was a big deal about adding 888chan to the sidebar or something orchestrated by "maxwell" or somebody, but before anything was done the wiki went down for the p long time.

I wasn't aware of the exact pv/insurgen details but I don't think he can be accused of major controlfaggotry in either set of events...

Firstly: To learn anything on the internet, you can google. Seriously. I have never learned anything useful from the insurgency wiki. All it does is give skiddies LOIC, and make them think they're hot shit. It's good for co-ordinating raids, but as for actually learning? No. That's one of the reasons /i/ is currently fail, because the people raiding aren't the intelligent bastards who would find these things separately in the past. If you nanny something, it'll turn into a flaming fucking retard, which is what has happened to Anonymous. There needs to be discussion, not looking at a wiki page with instructions on how to DerpDerpOS; you need to learn how to think in these situations, and not just learn facts.

In any case, though, it doesn't matter, because Anonymous is a self-evolving mass that you cannot control or really change.

As for "leaders", people like r3x, januszeal, and the like are not "leaders". Consider them more like janitors or housekeepers. They keep everything running, but are, in the end, completely fucking useless and non-essential to the existence of the *chans, and can be discarded just as easily as I can.
